Hi, I’m Heather —
the heart behind the lens at Chunky Monkey Photography!

I’m a wife to an amazing husband (who also happens to grill a mean steak), a mom to three wild and wonderful kids, and a proud Yaya to three sweet grandbabies. I’m also lucky enough to have a crew of adorable nieces and nephews who keep life loud, busy, and full of love.

We’re a beach-loving bunch — give us the ocean breeze, sandy toes, and a beach umbrella, and we’re in our happy place. Destin, Florida is one of our favorite spots, and I love meeting families there for dreamy beach sessions!

My love for photography started with my grandmother. She passed down more than just life lessons — she passed down the belief that capturing memories is one of the most beautiful gifts you can give. That lesson stuck with me, and it’s why I do what I do today.  The past 19 years have been filled with meeting amazing families and capturing so many memories!

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me cheering on my kids at soccer, playing with my grandbabies, or sneaking in a lunch date with my husband.

My heart is in every session, and my goal is to give you images that bring back the feelings, not just the moments — memories you’ll treasure for a lifetime.
