What a magical day we had capturing the joyous first birthday of this little one at Clark Gardens!

The sun was shining, the flowers were in full bloom, and the garden’s beauty set the perfect stage

for this fun and memorable milestone shoot.

Setting the Scene

Clark Gardens, with its vibrant flower beds and peaceful ponds, was the perfect backdrop for our

photoshoot. From the moment we began, she was ready to explore. She arrived with the biggest

smile, her little hands reaching out to touch the flowers as if she were discovering a whole new

world. The gentle breeze and the sound of the water from the garden’s ponds added to the serene

atmosphere, making it feel like we were in a magical fairy tale.

The Cake Smash Moment

Of course, no first birthday shoot is complete without a cake smash! We set up a small picnic

blanket under one of the garden’s beautiful oak trees, with a simple, yet adorable, cake—

decorated in soft pink icing to match the day’s theme. As soon as she saw the cake, her face lit up

with curiosity and delight. She hesitated for just a moment before diving right in, her tiny hands

covered in frosting as she giggled and smeared cake everywhere. The photos of her sitting in the

grass, with icing on her cheek and a huge smile on her face, will forever be a treasured memory.

 

Sweet Portraits & Family Moments

Before the cake smash, we took a few more moments to capture some intimate family shots. Her

parents were all smiles, looking at their baby girl with so much love and pride. The peacefulness

of the garden provided such a calm, natural atmosphere, which made for some beautiful family

portraits, with everyone laughing and enjoying the moment.

One of the highlights was a shot of our birthday girl was a the pumpkin patch. The soft sunlight

filtered through the trees, creating the perfect warm glow around her. Every photo felt like it told

a story of joy and wonder.
