How to find the perfect pumpkin patch 2023

It’s fall in Dallas-Fort Worth! That means cooler temps, pumpkin spice everywhere and families headed to their pumpkin patch!

There are so many reasons to head to the pumpkin patch with your family and finding the perfect one for you should not be difficult.

Take a look below and see if you can find the one for your family! Most of the pumpkin patches in the DFW area do more than just sell pumpkins!  Some have hay rides, photo ops, and hay mazes!

Legacy Farm and Ranch – Weatherford 

Open: 10-8 Thursday- Sat!

Located: 2600 N. HWY 51, Weatherford, TX

No entry fee

Halls Pumpkin Patch and Maze – Grapevine 

Open: Sunday, October 1, 2023 at 3 pm (Closed on Mondays & Tuesdays)

Prices: $15 for 12 and up, $10 for 4-10, and 3 and under are FREE

Included: Corn maze and parking

Not Included: Hayrides $5

Other Notes: Price is FREE until 5 pm on Wednesday & Thursday; CASH ONLY.

Howell Family Farms – Arlington 

Open: September 21-October 30th 2023

Prices: $26 for 13+, $18 for 4-12, 3 and under FREE (Weekend Prices)

Other Notes: Prices are cheaper during weekdays

Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden Pumpkin Patch – Dallas

Open: Daily from 9 am to 5 pm, September 16th through November 5th 2023

Prices: $12-17, members free

Other Notes: Tickets do need to be purchased in advance, which can be done here.

Dallas Farmers Market Pumpkin Patch – Dallas

Open: (awaiting 2023 information to confirm dates) September 18- October 31:

Monday-Friday 10 am to 6 pm, Saturday 9 am to 5 pm, Sunday 10 am to 5 pm

Prices: Free for the farmers market entry

Included: All the fun at the farmers market!

Mainstay Farm – Cleburne

Open: September 23rd- November 4th, Friday-Sunday (hours and days vary each month so make sure to check here and book before you go!)

Prices: Pre-season tickets are available for $16.95 per person, with 2 and under free.

At the gate they cost $28.95 (2022 pricing, will update as soon as 2023 is released!)

Included: Over 20 different types of activities, including a “triple decker treehouse fort”, a kiddie trike track, and a ferris wheel.

Not Included in price: Food, fresh lemonade, and their infamous wine chillers

Country Critters Farm – Alvarado 

Open: Opening day Saturdays and Sundays 10 am to 5 pm

Prices: $15 per person, 2 and under are free, Police and active military are free with valid ID.

Included: bounce pillow, playground area, pony rides (weekends), petting zoo, barrel train rides, hayrides, wooden maze, mystery maze game, rubber duck races (ducks are $1), and game areas.
