Why I Love What I Do

If you’ve ever been in front of my camera, you already know — this is so much more than a job to me. Chunky Monkey Photography isn’t just a business I built. It’s a piece of my heart.

I truly love what I do.

It’s Always Been About People

Photography, for me, has never been about perfect poses or stiff smiles. It’s about connection. It’s about the way your toddler wraps both arms around your neck. The way dad instinctively pulls everyone in close. The way mom looks at her babies when she thinks no one is watching.

Those are the moments I live to capture.

When you book a session with me, you aren’t just hiring a photographer. You’re inviting me into your story — and that is something I will never take lightly.

Watching Your Families Grow

One of my absolute favorite things is photographing my CMP newborns… and then getting to see them again at six months, one year, and beyond. There is nothing sweeter than when a little one I once swaddled tight runs up to give me a hug.

Some of you have been with me from the very beginning. I’ve photographed growing families, new siblings, big milestones, and everything in between. Being chosen again and again means more to me than I could ever say.

You become more than clients. You become friends.

The In-Between Moments Are My Favorite

Of course we’ll get the smiling-at-the-camera shot. But what makes my heart skip a beat are the in-between moments:

The giggles.
The snuggles.
The tickle fights.
The wind-blown hair and real laughter.

Those are the images that will hang on your walls for years. Those are the photos your kids will pull out one day and say, “Look how little we were.”

I’m Proud of the Journey

Building Chunky Monkey Photography has been one of the most challenging and rewarding things I’ve ever done. There have been mountains to climb, long nights, and moments of doubt — but I set my goals high and kept going.

And I’m still growing. Still learning. Still pouring my whole heart into this dream.

Because at the end of the day, this isn’t about me. It’s about you. It’s about your babies. It’s about preserving the season you’re in right now — before it changes again.

Why I Love It

I love what I do because I love people.
I love families.
I love the trust you place in me.

And I love knowing that long after this season passes, you’ll have something tangible to hold onto.
