Fort Worth Family Photographer | From Newborn Session to Lifelong Friends

Some families begin as clients… and somehow become family.

This sweet family first came to Chunky Monkey Photography as newborn clients. Like so many families I’ve had the privilege of photographing, one session turned into another, and before long I was documenting birthdays, milestones, family portraits, and all the beautiful moments in between. Watching their family grow has been one of the greatest blessings of my career.

This session was especially meaningful because it was our last Texas family session together before they packed up and began an exciting new chapter in California.

While I couldn’t be happier for everything that lies ahead for them, saying goodbye was definitely bittersweet.

One of the greatest gifts of being a Fort Worth family photographer is the relationships that are built over the years. I get a front-row seat to your family’s story—from maternity announcements and newborn snuggles to first birthdays, growing kids, senior portraits, and sometimes even weddings. These aren’t just photo sessions to me. They’re memories, milestones, and friendships that I truly treasure.

This family has trusted me with so many chapters of their lives, and that trust is something I’ll never take for granted. Every laugh, every hug, every silly moment, and every family portrait tells a piece of their story. Looking back through their galleries over the years is a reminder of just how quickly life moves and how important it is to preserve these moments.

For this final Texas session, we simply focused on what matters most—the love they share. There were genuine smiles, lots of laughter, plenty of hugs, and memories that I’m so thankful we were able to capture before their move. Sometimes the simplest family sessions become the most meaningful.

As much as I’ll miss seeing them in front of my camera, I’m incredibly grateful that photographs allow us to hold onto the people and places we love. Long after the moving boxes are unpacked, these images will always remind them of the years they called Texas home.

To my sweet friends—thank you for trusting me from the very beginning. Thank you for allowing me to watch your family grow and for making me feel like part of your story. California is so lucky to have you, but I’ll definitely miss seeing your smiling faces here in Texas.
