Time is Best

Watching a family interact with each other is such a highlight of my job. Getting to watch the job that comes from the mom and dad when their littles are running around and just enjoying life. Getting to watch a family grow from meeting them from their maternity session to now is amazing and being able to watch the Chunky Monkey Newborns grow up is just the best! If you have a milestone shoot to capture, I hope these remind you to schedule your session asap.

Being together

I got to meet this family when they were expecting their son. We shot their maternity shoot in Azle and it turned out beautifully. It was a bit chilly outside but they were troopers. Then came the newborn shoot which was one of my favorites of all times. This family just oozes love and its a bit contagious. All Chunky Monkey Newborns get their 6 month session half off. It is such a fun milestone to capture and too many people skip it! So we headed out to Trinity Park in Fort Worth on the most perfect day. There were tons of smiles! To capture some amazing shots, I like to keep it simple and easy. Not a lot of props are needed, its all about the people in the pictures.

Capturing the time and connections

The one thing you will hear me talk about a lot during my sessions is all about the time together and connection between others. The connection between parents and their children, the connection between siblings and so much more. To do that during a photography shoot takes everyone coming in with a positive attitude and ready to relax and have fun. This family did just that. They were ready to have fun and that is exactly what we did. Take a look at these and you can just put yourself there with us!

He is a sitter now

So all of Chunky Monkeys photography shoots include family shots. But once we capture that, we move on to the star of the show. This little Chunky Monkey Newborn has grown up just a bit and is a big boy! He can sit on his own and that makes him happy! Rather that was sitting on a ladder (with mom right there!), on the ground or in a basket….he was just a pro. Knowing that his 1st birthday is right around the corner and it will be here in a heartbeat is hard to believe.

I look forward to seeing all my families no matter if it starts from the beginning of your family growing or when they are almost all as tall as you for the first time. Just knowing that you will have these memories to look back on and remember all the fun times, even if bribes were used to get those smiles!
